NATURAL BRUTALISM
A study of geological weight and the architecture of the earth. Captured under the heavy, monochromatic light of a storm-heavy sky in Fernando de Noronha island, this series explores the brutality of the natural world, the towering indifference of volcanic rock against the transient flow of the tide. By pushing the limits of high-contrast black and white, the landscape is stripped of its tropical identity and revealed as a collection of massive, silent forms. It is an observation of the human figure, small and fleeting, in the presence of permanent stone.
